For those looking for a truly unique vacation, Country Cardboardia offers just that. Completely crafted out of cardboard, Country Cardboardia is made up of tiny temporary, collaboratively built and inhabited 'towns' that exist in real countries such as Russia, Finland and Germany. Essentially the home of a role-playing community, it "is a place where people can reinvent themselves--where, for a short time, everyone can leave behind their daily worries through new ways of self-expression," according to its Facebook page.
Created and curated by Sergey Korsakov, Tyran of Cardboardia, Country Cardboardia is pretty extensive. From wedding chapels to cemeteries and clothing shops (all made out of cardboard and paper) to art studios, Country Cardboardia has almost everything. It helps that people are constantly expanding their towns with new spaces.
