Though the actual purchase of a cottage may be out of the question for some consumers, these 3D cottage designs let less wealthy viewers imagine what it might be like to own a dream lodge. 'Jutland,' a design project by Argentinian-born, Berlin-based Santi Zoraidez, depicts summer homes that range from realistically beautiful to patently absurd.
According to the artist, the cottage designs are based on Scandinavian summer houses and the Nordic school of architecture. That inspiration is readily apparent when looking at the images in the Jutland series, with their sharp, stark lines punctuated by precise, asymmetrical geometric shapes and their pale, pine-colored hues placed in front of overcast scenery.
Though none of these designs exist outside of their 3D-rendered frames (and indeed, some of them simply couldn't at all, such as the triangle hanging off of a cliff), these cottage designs may inspire those with the means to take creative risks when building second homes.
