Located in Martis Camp near Lake Tahoe, California, this contemporary rustic residence provides a pleasant mixture of classic and modern design.
The 'Martis-Dunsmuir House' was designed by architectural firm 'sagemodern' from prefabricated pieces which they believe helps to make the construction process both versatile, sustainable and efficient. The outside of the building features siding made from grey barnwood material that nicely blends with the surrounding wilderness. More modern touches on the exterior of the building include steel and concrete columns that connect to a butterfly roof that will actually direct water and transform the side of the house into an attractive running waterfall.
The interior and exterior of the home also blend together with rustic contemporary touches. Moreover, the residence features a 1,600 square foot outdoor patio with a built-in gas-powered fire pit, heated hot tub, and sheltered dining area perfect for entertaining guests.
