Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis created a new Confetti collection for DesignByThem that consists of tables, stools, planters, armchairs and more, all made from 100% recycled plastic. The name of the fun and eco-friendly range spotlights the use of all post-consumer and factory waste that is formed into tubes and creates a familiar confetti-like pattern. As such, the pieces in the collection are easy to clean, durable and a great alternative to other materials.
The Confetti collection includes a number of standalone pieces like the Confetti Planter and the Confetti Stool, as well as booth-style seating and modular chairs that can be used to create areas for more people to sit and comfortably gather with one another.
With so much plastic waste available for reuse, many designers are finding creative, aesthetically pleasing ways to avoid the use of virgin materials.
