Louise Hederström & Swedese Produce an Eco-Friendly Furniture Line

Eco-friendly furniture collections and initiatives are extremely important in today's day and age as individuals are being extremely mindful of sustainability. Swedish designer Louise Hederström worked on one such planet-friendly design project with the furniture brand Swedese. The collaborators utilized leftover wood and plywood to create eco-friendly furniture for the public spaces in the Hyllie Terrass building in Sweden—from the atrium and restaurant to the various meeting rooms. These leftover materials were from the design of the building itself, which was completed by Danish design studio Cobe. The wood would have been burned if Louise Hederström and Swedese didn't utilize those materials.
The eco-friendly furniture for the Hyllie Terrass building is stylish and slick. The first set of items are stools and a table. Titled 'Rephrased Matter,' the pieces were showcased at the Southern Sweden Design Days festival.
