Bumble adds a new Compliments feature to the dating app platform to allow users to compliment others before they even match with one another. Any user is able to send out a Compliment and in doing so, the receiver will see a new yellow motif that has a heart along with elements of a potential match's profile. It prompts them to compliment features including their bio, profile prompt, or photo.
When tapping on these selections, a text box opens up and there is space for 150 characters to send out a positive comment. Notably, there is a limit of only one free Compliment within a day, encouraging those to make it count. The app states, “Starting a connection with a Compliment is not only flattering, but it can also help make your conversations kinder and lead to more meaningful matches.”
