KANGHYUK Launches the COLLECTION 11 Range for SS22
South Korean fashion label KANGHYUK introduces the new COLLECTION 11 range designed for the Spring/Summer 2022 season. The brand explores sound insulation materials that are used behind the panels as the influence of the designs. The fabric development is lead by co-designer Sanglak Shon to replicate the look of the "artificial skin" of the material.
The development and research uses traditional leather, vegan suede, vegan leather, and recycled jersey throughout the experimentation. The 3D pattern that is used is crafted from a special hand-[ressed embossing and engraving. The base jersey fabric is made possible with the help of Hyosung T&C, together with landing on the name Contnapolyester, which has a similar feel to cotton but is stronger in terms of stability.
