Delhi-based design brand Karu Research launches its new collection designed specifically for the Spring/Summer 2024 season on the runways of Paris Fashion Week. Founder of the brand Kartik Kumra continues to dive deeper into his Indian heritage as an influence, translating it through the capsule. It is made up of handmade menswear that is meant to depict Indian masculinity through rebellious cultural figures.
He explores the juxtaposing themes of blended Eastern and Western apparel through embroidered tailoring and intricate craftsmanship. Another muse for the seasonal range nods to former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly, highlighting his unapologetic attitude. The brand works together with a slew of organizations to create textural materials and vegetable dyes before being rounded out with a collaborative range alongside Stepney Workers Club.
