I'm personally excited to announce the launch of Clean The Sky, a new Trend Hunter website and mission dedicated to highlighting breakthrough eco solutions, positive climate news, and the crucial actions needed to reduce CO2 in our atmosphere. This community was born from nearly 20 years of Trend Hunter’s mission to spotlight innovations that drive a better future.
Since founding TrendHunter.com, we’ve reached over 3.5 billion views, delivering over 12,000 custom projects for global brands like Coca-Cola, Starbucks, adidas, and Universal Studios. As we developed AI-driven strategies to help brands shape the future, we also began rethinking our role in creating a sustainable future.
Our early efforts included publishing 30,000 eco trends and reaching 250 million views on green initiatives, as well as integrating sustainability themes into keynotes, Future Festival events, and client workshops. We even planted 1 million trees with Trees.org. Yet, the reality of the 2023 forest fires made it clear just how urgent the climate crisis is; during this intense summer, my newborn son had to remain indoors for 120 of his first 180 days due to hazardous air conditions.
This experience led us to launch Clean The Sky, inspired by the potential of Direct Air Capture. We’re grateful to Oxy for sponsoring this effort to spread awareness and promote Direct Air Capture and other Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) solutions.
The “Atmospheric Bathtub” concept is a powerful metaphor we discuss here: if your bathtub is overflowing with CO2—50% over what it should be—simply reducing, reusing, and recycling is like turning down the tap without opening the drain. We need to actively pull CO2 out of the atmosphere to create real change.
As we begin this journey, we’ve outlined key principles for Clean The Sky:
1. Showcase solutions and innovation over fear-based news
2. Share the scale of the challenge transparently while highlighting hopeful breakthroughs
3. Tackle common misconceptions around eco solutions
4. Support scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs who are making a difference
5. Highlight affordable, scalable solutions for individuals and companies alike
6. Emphasize achieving Geo Zero, reducing, reusing, recycling, and removing CO2 from the atmosphere
Join us at CleanTheSky.com, where we’re building a community of like-minded innovators and eco-champions working to create a healthier planet.
