It is absolutely delightful to look upon these City of Melbourne wire installations and pick out the iconic buildings of the fabulous Australian metropolis. One focuses primarily on the skyscrapers of the central business district (the CBD) with a hint of a Yarra River bridge. The other delineates the buildings that surround the Docklands area, such as Southern Cross Station and the Etihad Stadium.
AJF Partners worked with the creative tin&ed to produce these urban outlines from lengthy electrical cables on their meandering paths from power outlets to light fixtures. The cords were pinned to the walls to form familiar skyline silhouettes. AJF turned the City of Melbourne wire installations into a series of online and print ads and tin&ed made them into an animated video for the Melbourne Film Festival.
