Sotheby's recently launched its own metaverse and now the auction house is debuting its first in-house NFT project dubbed Chromie Squiggles. This playful series of non-fungible tokens were brought to life by artist Erick Calderon, also known as Snowfro. Hosted on Art Blocks, the NFT art project shares a wide range of squiggles that set themselves apart visually with different traits. The randomized art looks unique thanks to different factors such as the colors, ribbed details, segments, height, color direction and spread.
There are varying levels of rarity and buyers are treated to the element of surprise. Buyers will be unaware of the unique traits of their specific NFT until it i minted, which means there is no telling how valuable or rare the digital work of art may be.
