Author Kim Smith illustrated and reimagined the classic 1990s movie 'Home Alone' as a fun and engaging Christmas picture book for kids.
Smith is a graduate of the Alberta College of Art and Design. Using her artistic skill, she is able to capture the fun and warmth of the film 'Home Alone' on its 25 anniversary in a vintage artistic style. This Christmas picture book reimagining is intended for children ages four to eight, and includes imaginative illustrations done in the style of the 1950s golden age.
The book uses a read-aloud format and amusing artwork to tell the story of Kevin McCallister as he squares off with the 'Wet Bandits' as they try to invade his family home on Christmas. Featuring both the booby traps and the lessons from the film, this amusing story is now available in a whole new format for a new generation of children.
