The new Chevrolet Marketplace app, which comes preinstalled in the newest Chevrolet models, will soon give all US Chevrolet drivers the ability to pay for gas without leaving the car. This new feature will first be tested in Detroit, Seattle and Houston before expanding and will currently only work at participating Shell gas stations. The Chevrolet Marketplace app is now available through the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and can even be used to locate nearby Shell stations, utilize Shell Fuel Rewards Offers, offer station details and can show you exactly how much you need to spend for a full tank.
To use the feature, drivers will simply need to select the 'Pay and Save' option in the Chevrolet Marketplace app. This will prompt users to select a gas station on the display and will then generate a code that will unlock the gas pump and will end with charging the user from the payment method they have stored.
