To celebrate the start of official start of spring, Starbucks is rolling out its new Cherry Blossom Frappuccino. Described as "spring in a cup," the colorful matcha drink is the perfect way to enjoy warmer weather.
The new Cherry Blossom Frappuccino is a blended beverage made from a combination of strawberries and cream, white chocolate sauce, matcha drizzle and whipped cream. The combination of matcha and strawberries gives the drink a beautiful pastel pink and bright green color. This hue is meant to be reminiscent of the Japanese sakura flowers that inspired the delicious new drink.
Unfortunately, the new Frappuccino flavor is not a permanent menu addition. Instead, Starbucks is offering the drink from March 15th until the official first day of spring on March 20th.
