Fairy tales continue to hold a special and important role in many societies around the world, therefore I am not surprised that the Charms & Disguises collection has taken some of these tales as inspiration for its furniture pieces. Whimsical and warped, each piece of furniture actually looks like it belongs in a fable of some sort.
Designed by Jenny Ekdahl, who is currently pursuing her Masters degree at Sweden's Lund University School of Industrial Design, the Charms & Disguises collection was created for her Spring 2011 project. By exploring the deeper meaning of fairy tales, the three designs illustrate three fables most worth listening to and remembering.
For instance, the Charms & Disguises collection's 'Bye Bye Little Lamb' alludes to the saying, 'Wolf in sheep's clothing.'
