'Change Wind Corporation,' the EV charging solutions company, has unveiled the 'Wind & Solar Tower.' This tower stands 82-feet tall and generates energy through the use of solar panels and wind-power-generating rotors. According to Change Wind Corporation, the tower can deliver a total annual output of 169,000 kwh, which is enough to charge 8,455 electric vehicles per year.
The Wind & Solar Tower can charge up to six vehicles simultaneously, and the power it does not use on these six charging stations it can store for later in an array. The tower generates wind power in an efficient manner. In fact, Change Wind Corporation stated that the device only requires 5-mph winds to generate power, which is staunchly lower than most wind-based power solutions.
The cost to install one Wind & Solar Tower is approximately $484,000 USD, plus an additional $80,867 USD per each of the six fast-charging cords.
