Casa Stella's Moving Wall Reveals An Additional Guest Room
Rahul Kalvapalle — October 22, 2015 — Art & Design
Casa Stella is a stylish and unique residential dwelling that forms the third project of the Little Big House series conceived by PKMN Architectures. Accordingly, this architectural project bears some very clear similarities to the All I Own House and Casa MJE.
This particular residence comprised an innovative renovation of a Madrid apartment for the owner Stella, her husband Michael and their children.
Casa Stella is a home designed bearing in mind the owners' desire to regularly host visiting family members. PKMN Architectures therefore went about installing a wall that automatically moves outwards to create a guest room.
This kind of innovative architecture is becoming increasingly common in Western urban settings where space is scarce.
