Caramela is a chocolate company based in Monterrey Mexico, so Anagrama design agency wanted to take the history of the area and use that for branding purposes.
According to the agency as stated on Package Inspiration, "the packaging design is inspired on industrial packaging systems. We used adhesive stickers and identification codes as part of the brand’s language stylizing them with simple layouts and joyful colors." As such the chocolate comes in a cardboard box, which looks like it's been shipped straight from the factory. All of the materials also look recyclable and eco-friendly, which for some people is extremely important and a deciding factor as to whether or not they will buy a product.
Anagrama does a great job with infusing history into the Caramela chocolate brand.
