Samsung Electronics, software company SAP and automotive manufacturer Seat are all coming together as part of a project to improve car parking and payment of the future.
This collaborative effort on behalf of the three brands is set to introduce a car system that will enable drivers to reserve parking spaces and then pay for them with fingerprint identification on Samsung Pay. During this experience, it's imagined that all the technology would work in tandem to detect and verify the diver's identity, meaning that they would not need to get out of the car until they are ready to leave the vehicle at their destination.
Other ideas that are being shown at the Mobile World Congress include a concept for digital keys that would make it possible for drivers to share access to a car via their smartphone.
