Calbee Chips gives you exactly what you need when you’re craving sweet and savory. The Japanese company stays true to the Japanese chip scene, which includes many shrimp-flavored foods.

Calbee pushed the shrimp boundaries one step further by introducing strawberry chocolate shrimp chips. The company teamed up with Royce, a chocolate company and together they created this sweet meets savory combination snack.

They didn’t just add strawberry chocolate to their flavor mixture but instead added strawberry powder to a chocolate mixture, which intensified the chip flavor. This extra strawberry step will hopefully make the chips more fruity and less fishy. Sadly, this special flavor is only available in Japanese Calbee Plus Stores. So if you’re brave enough to try this “under the sea dessert” chip, then hop on a plane to Japan.
