Vans has expanded its collection of casual and comfortable sneakers with a new collaborative model that uses an all-over butterfly design on its upper.
In order to create the model, Vans received help from FACETASM, a fashion brand that's based in Tokyo, Japan. Although the butterfly design that covers the sneakers might be considered a feminine theme from a more traditional perspective, the black and white colorway used by Vans and FACETASM gives it a rather masculine appearance.
The insects are uniform in their orientation and placed together is a collage, making the butterfly design appear very subtle from a distance. The soles of the sneakers are white as well, marked only by a black line that wraps around it near the upper and the Vans brand name that's included on the back of the heel.
