For those on a quest for the cheesiest, greasiest, yummiest, cheese burgers, be sure to check out The Squeeze Inn in Sacramento, California. The Food Network's hip host Guy Fieri of 'Diners, 'Drive-Ins and Dives' documented his recent visit to the Squeeze Inn and revealed a stunning work of gastronomical art dubbed the 'squeeze with cheese'.
The 'Squeeze with Cheese' starts as a tasty 'flat-top' grilled burger. When the burger is almost cooked, however, a colossal handful of grated cheddar is piled on so high that the patty becomes completely obscured.
The cooking process is not done here; as the cheese melts, the top bun is positioned, ice chips are scattered around, and a lid is placed over top, steaming the bun and creating a crispy cheese 'skirt'. The whole dripping, cheesy spectacle is then transferred to the bottom bun and served.
Since the airing of the program on the Food Network, lines are long at the Squeeze Inn, so be prepared to wait with anticipation a while.
You have to see the video to truly luxuriate in this burger's magnificence.
