'BuddyUp' is the name of a social network app for college students that helps young adults connect with one another and easily arrange group study sessions.
The app makes it easy for students to create a simple profile that shows some of their interests, plus the courses they are currently enrolled in. Within the academic app, users are able to chat with one another via private and public groups. The app also provides an easy way for students to turn classmates into friends and connect with students who share their major and others living in dorms.
The BuddyUp app was developed by Portland State University student Brian Forrester, who found that with a study group founded on shared interests and classes, his letter grade in Statistics class went from an 'F' to an 'A.'
