The Seattle-based architecture studio Hybrid entered into a collaboration with Mexico City-based Palma to design this stunning brutalist Mexican hotel. Located in Sayulita which is in the Mexican state of Nayarit, the hospitality business is named NICO Loma Alta.
Amid the brutalist sensibilities of the architectural backdrop, Hybrid and Palma nest in organic design elements and traditional Mexican design. This innovative approach results in a visually striking and distinctive hotel. Concrete, for example, is prominently used in the construction, creating a sense of solidity and permanence. This is counter-balanced by the inclusion of vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and local materials that add warmth and character to the overall aesthetic and serve as an expression of the local culture and heritage of the destination.
From spacious rooms with panoramic views to a rooftop pool and lounge area, the brutalist Mexican hotel has a lot to offer guests.
