Brickhouse Gym, a Saskatchewan-based fitness center, recently re-opened during the province's June re-opening phase. While the gym previously used to run 24 hours, the brand has reduced its hours to 7 a.m. to 10 p.m to accommodate new cleaning schedules. The gyms will also operate at a 50% capacity to ensure social distancing measures can still be maintained.
Guests must pre-register for an hour and a 15-minute time slot to work out and employees will spend 15 minutes sanitizing high-touch areas such as door handles and cardio equipment. Both the change and shower rooms will remain closed. In addition, Brickhouse Gym will provide members with hand sanitizer upon arrival and will be asked a series of health questions as well as queries about their exposure to the virus.
