Those who are missing out on the break room experience while working from home can now use a new virtual experience created by Hallway. The app for Slack users helps to fill the gap for employees who are missing out on opportunities to socialize throughout the day, as the app lets users schedule 10-minute chats with one another that are meant to be filled with small talk and other topics unrelated to work.
The timed breaks can also be organized for groups working via Zoom or Google Meet and the service is currently offered for free for up to two Slack channels. For more from the service, there's also the option to purchase a subscription for unlimited timed video calls for up to five channels.
