Finnish brand Lumene recently introduced a 'Birch Black Mascara' with "natural carbon black obtained from Finnish birch charcoal" and an infusion of organic Nordic birch sap. The mascara itself is said to be beneficial for defining and curling the lashes, as well as adding intense pigment for all-day wear.
