Qaou, an outdoor company that's based out of France, is currently seeking support on Kickstarter for the Beluga tent—an all-in-one shelter design that's made up of a durable fabric created using recycled plastic bottles.
To create the material. Qaou transforms plastic waste into small beads, which are then spun into thread and turned into fabric. The resulting fabric is used to build the Beluga tents, with each one reusing approximately 125 plastic bottles. To decrease its footprint even more, Qaou uses eco-friendly aluminum and does not dye the fabric. In line with its ethos, the name of the tent is intended to honor "the endangered white whale to remind everyone of the need to care for the environment."
Highly durable, resistant to water, and simple to set up, the beluga tent is the perfect all-in-one solution for outdoor enthusiasts.
