The BE OPEN Art initiative has launched its first regional competition of 2025. The mission is to spotlight emerging artists from South Asia, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The BE OPEN Art program seeks to highlight artistic expressions that reflect the unique cultural, regional, and ethnic identities of participating areas. With a focus on early-career artists, the initiative aims to provide greater visibility and recognition for creative talent through its online gallery and public voting system.
Throughout the three-month competition phase, 20 artists from South Asia will have their work showcased online each month, with public votes determining a Regional Artist of the Month. At the conclusion of this stage, an overall winner will be awarded €500, alongside recognition from the BE OPEN art community. This year, the Founder’s Favorite Prize has also been added to the mix.
