The images above are of the 'Barbarians' collection Fernando and Humberto Campana designed for Edra. Although the entire line is inspired by the rugged lifestyles of our barbarian ancestors, it's the Cousin Itt-looking storage unit that's captured my attention.
The storage unit is covered in raffia, which serves to conceal the cabinet's contents and add visual appeal.
Implications - Edra wanted a collection that would boast a "contemporary twist to the theme of natural materials and colors." One of the main focuses on the furniture pieces was color, featuring a range from shiny metallic gold to earthy neutrals. You can definitely tell the Barbarians collection has a caveman feel to it that would certainly make for interesting home decor.
