To truly escape from the busyness of everyday life, one must alter his state of mind. The Banc Galet creates the sort of environment to encourage this mental shift, offering its user an island when he craves an ounce of isolation.
Designed by Benjamin Rousse, this whimsical bench comprises a concrete base that's been sculpted to take the form of a broad and smooth boulder. This component is a weatherproof anchor on which one can sit and be embraced by the arboreal form overhead. A length of larch wood shoots out of one side of the oversized stone, spreading out into branches and twigs. These elements of the Banc Galet can function as coat hooks and a stand for a pendant lamp to illuminate this lovely spot to read.
