There are so many millions of houses around the world, yet to stand out from the rest, 'Balcones House' exaggerates a property that every other house is sure to have: the roof. Though the residence has many interesting features, its most striking is surely its roof, which extends horizontally out over the patio area that encircles the ground floor.

Aside from its striking roof design, Balcones House features many other interesting aspects. The walls of the ground floor are almost entirely made of glass, giving the home the look of an old-fashioned lantern, especially at night when the light from inside spills out into the world.
