Bacardi rum recently joined forces with glass bottle manufacturer O-I for its newest AR-enabled packaging concept. The spirits brand remixes a classic bottle design with connected elements that help to bring immersive marketing to life.
Each limited-edition bottle is adorned with a full color tropical print that is reflective of Bacardi's heritage and fresh ingredients. Bottles also feature an interactive Snapchat code. Once accessed, the code unlocks an augmented reality Shapchat lens experience that celebrates the 2020 launch of Bacardi's Carta Blanca rum -- set to be available in eight countries.
In addition to its interactive elements, the new Bacardi rum glass bottle is also printed using sustainable inks that are transferred directly on the bottle versus on a sleeve to reduce waste.
