Studio Ben Allen has designed an award-winning house interior. Recognized by the Don’t Move, Improve! Awards and named “London’s best new home improvement project,” the design stands out with fluid lines, playful colorful accents, and a lot of natural lighting.
Studio Ben Allen was commissioned by a retired couple who requested a reorganization of a spacious Victorian home. The original design was the locus for the architects' inspiration. Since the brief was left relatively open, the designers took this opportunity “to experiment with off-site fabrication techniques and pigmented concrete.” In addition, Studio Ben Allen introduced a new kitchen and two bathrooms. One of the more distinct features of the award-winning house interior is that it brings together modern sensibilities with the alluring (historic) features of Victorian design.
