Design duo Sagmeister & Walsh designed some outstanding award trophies for New York's 'World's Best Advertising' competition coming up in May of this year. The trophies are appropriately modeled after some of the Big Apple's most iconic-looking structures.
The trophies don't have the typical block-base with metal name plates and a goofy gold man perched on top. The designers wanted to differ from those aspects that they've seen time and time again, so they created the trophies to be pieces of art. The winners will be proud to display them on their mantel places, without hindering the interior design of their homes.
The five trophies are even aesthetically designed so that repeat winners can assemble their winnings to look like the New York City skyline. Each one is cast from aluminum and is coated in monochromatic colors.
