Designers Océane Delain & Béatrice Durandard have come up with a visually beautiful light fixture known as the Aura Lamp. The lamp is made out of rattan and LED strips woven in between. The energy-efficient lamp also took home first prize in a European furniture design competition.
The Aura Lamp received its inspiration from the concept of Walter Benjamin, who predicted that the replication of an artistic object by technical means would entail the loss of its aura as a work of art.
