The Audi OLED Lighting Display Debuts at CES 2013
Jonathon Brown — January 13, 2013 — Autos
The new Audio OLED design places a new kind of lighting system on Audi cars, which looks much like glowing water moving throughout the vehicle as it moves.
This new lighting concept from Audi OLED totally rethinks the way light is presented on automobiles, and was debuted recently at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013. It's an interesting idea because despite such great strides in vehicle design innovation in the last 20 years, the lighting functions have remained pretty much the same.
This lighting system most notably features a fluid rear lighting display which actually changes as the car is moving to give more information to traffic in its rear. Sensors inside the brake lights pick up when the car is turning and create a fluid-like shift in the lights from one side of the car to the other.
