Marelli is set to showcase its Software-Defined Interior experience at CES 2024. In doing so, the brand claims it will be introducing a transformative shift in automotive design.
This innovative experience, based on Marelli's zonal architecture, replaces fixed analog interfaces with dynamic displays capable of evolving content over time by leveraging artificial intelligence. The Software-Defined Interior features a Central Computing Unit powered by the latest Snapdragon® Cockpit Platform and supporting up to four Zone Control Units (ZCUs). The Software-Defined Interior incorporates an automotive application of an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display, a movable display developed in collaboration with BOE and its subsidiary BOE Varitronix Limited. The innovation supports "several next-generation display technologies" such as the award-winning pillar-to-pillar HorizonView display, which offers enhanced brightness and contrast, as well as "a 12" hidden display that seamlessly lends into the cabin."
