The Samsung PixelCell LED has been introduced by the technology brand as one of its latest products for use in car headlights to help offer optimized levels of illumination.
The LED technology is intended to be used with adaptive driving beam (ADB) systems to help greatly enhance visibility and safety. The LEDs would thus be able to automatically adjust if oncoming traffic is observed to prevent glare and more.
Senior Vice President of the LED Business Team at Samsung Electronics Un Soo Kim spoke on the new Samsung PixelCell LED saying, "Much more than a simple automotive lighting source, Samsung’s PixCell LED is based on new lighting technology designed to improve road safety and driving convenience. Beginning with PixCell LED, we will introduce tailored lighting solutions well-suited for future automobiles, including electric and autonomous vehicles.”
