Those with a plant-based diet can now enjoy the rich taste and unique texture of blue cheese, as Asda's vegan blue cheese is being retailed at the British supermarket chain.
Arriving just in time for the holiday season, the brand's newly announced 'Free From Blue Alternative' is a dairy-free iteration of the fan-favorite stinky cheese that's suitable for those living cruelty-free lifestyles. In a press release, Bute Island Foods director and head of new product development Francois Lintermans spoke to the new product offerings, stating that “The blue cheese is really popular and ideal for cheeseboards, sandwiches and blue cheese fondue.” The vegan blue cheese now joins the supermarkets existing lineup of vegan fare and Christmas offerings.
