Asda and Colgate have announced a new partnership that will help to contribute towards better dental health amongst students in the UK as a way to combat against tooth decay. The initiative will see 70,000 free dental kits being provided to youngsters that each include a toothbrush, toothpaste, an educational leaflet and a brushing chart to help encourage good habits. The kits will also provide literature for parents to help encourage them to support healthy everyday brushing habits throughout the household.
Hayley Tatum MBE, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer at Asda spoke on the Asda and Colgate initiative saying, "Children from the most deprived communities clearly face an uphill battle when it comes to receiving basic dental care. By providing the tools and educational materials to over 1600 schools and 70,000 students, we hope to help children to establish healthy dental habits and behaviours that they can continue for the rest of their lives.”
