Artem Pylypenko has collaborated with Hatton Labs to launch a new capsule collection that Pylypenko designed at the height of the Ukrainian war. The Ukranian artist hopes that this collaboration will represent “the light at the end of the tunnel.”
The collection comprises jewelry and apparel offerings, including a range of rings, chains, and limited edition tees. Pylypenko claims that during his research, he recognized that the word “carbine” was a common term used when referring to weapons used during the war. The artist expressed that he did not want to use any literal things related to the war itself, instead choosing the carbine as a symbol to represent life and death.
When it comes to the T-shirt, Pylypenko comments that: “The T-shirt is very symbolic for me. I’ve always had a great fear of getting lost, probably some kind of trauma from my childhood. I wanted to remind myself that even if you get lost, take the wrong road, take a wrong turn, you can always find a way out and follow the sun.”
All proceeds from the Artem Pylypenko x Hatton Labs capsule will be donated to Ohmatdyt, the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine.
