Jana Pijak — May 28, 2019 — Art & Design
'Lawn' is a family-friendly art activation that will be opened inside the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. from July 4th to September 2nd. The fun installation brings the great outdoors inside and is part of the art institution's 2019 Summer Block Party event.
Brought to life by the LAB at Rockwell Group team, this art activation consists of a dreamy cloudscape and a faux lawn that will sit inside a movie theater space. Lawn will boast a fully recyclable SynLawn installation and will also feature summer activities like croquet, communal lounging spaces, hammocks and more.
This family-friendly pop-up encourages collaboration and conversation and will also double as a summer event space for meditation sessions and yoga classes while playing audio from prominent American storytellers.
