Studio Gameiro designs the interior space of the Arriba apartment. It is located in Caparica, Portugal and the residence is defined by local stone and boasts inspiration from wooden fishing huts. There are two bedrooms in the apartment and it is inside of a building first built in the 80s with references to the city's coastal area. The color palette of the home is a nod to the sandy tones of Caprica cliffs with beige and tan tones.
Founder of the studio Joāo Gameiro speaks to Dezeen about the design, stating "The interior colour palette and texture was inspired by the beautiful coastline of Caparica, a unique fossil-rock formation along the coast with sandy and terracotta hues. This natural and protected area south of Lisbon has a particular and playful way of changing with light, and it is also almost poetically embedded in our childhood memories of long summer holidays, as it was the first seaside area close to the big city."
