Ariel dishwasher pods are debuting in a new packaging -- the ECOCLIC box -- to help reduce waste and offer the product a more sustainable enclosure. The cardboard packaging is crafted with an FSC-certified design. It is made using more than 70% recycled fibers to make it an eco-friendly alternative to the brands existing plastic tub-style packaging. The packaging would save up to 6,500 tons of plastic waste per year if all consumers who purchase Ariel Pods in plastic tubs made the switch.
Senior Vice President, Europe, Fabric Care P&G Elvan Onal commented on the new Ariel dishwasher tablets packaging, saying, "This new cardboard packaging is one of Ariel’s biggest innovations. We invested in rigorous research over 4 years to perfect it, putting consumer delight and satisfaction at the heart of our design while striving for a sustainable solution that would work for the many, not just for the few."
