Apocalypse in Art is a series by the photographing duo Vitaliy and Elena Vasilieva. The images show various popular buildings on the edges of cliffs or stuck in a desert landscape.
Each image is done in black and white, which adds to the disastrous atmosphere of the artwork. The buildings depicted in the scenes are actually famous museums found all around the world, including the Guggenheim from New York. The images make one think about the future of the planet, and whether or not most pieces of architecture found today will eventually be nothing more than piles of brick and metal. This is what Apocalypse in Art is all about: making people think about the consequences of actions we take today.
