Bonami Curates a New Post-Pandemic-Inspired Group Exhibit for Gagosian
Kanesa D — May 6, 2022 — Art & Design
'Gagosian' recently unveiled a new 'Beginning' exhibition curated by Italian writer Francesco Bonami. Bonami explains, "the exhibition is about walking, crossing, looking, sleeping, fearing, and dying. It also reminds us that every time we walk, cross, look, sleep, fear, or die, we have the chance to begin again."
The project includes a series of paintings, installations, and photography by Maurizio Cattelan, Felix Gonzales-Torres, Richard Prince, and Rudolf Stingel. 'Beginning' investigates the impact of traumatic global events on our perception of art and culture. There are heavy themes of rebirth throughout the exhibit.
The show is inspired by mourning as much as an “unflinching hope” inspires it. Visitors are invited to view the exhibition in Los Angeles where it will run unti June 4, 2022.
