Design firm Scalar Architecture created the Anker-Jordan Residence, a luxurious cottage built on Ossipee Lake, New Hampshire. The home is formed from two prisms, providing an elegant structure that holds the entirety of the house.
With rough climate, topography and vegetation in mind, the team had to create a space with access to the beautiful surrounding views as well as staying safe and intact during the winter winds. The exterior features a sturdy green paneling that makes the home blend into the forest, with a large and modern exterior living area allowing guests to be fully immersed in nature. The interior has a bright and white aesthetic, contrasting from the rest of the home.
