Anchor Cheddar was looking for an updated design for its cheese packaging, however it did not want to move so far away from traditional branding so that customers wouldn't recognize the coveted company. Elmwood took these instructions and created a packaging that exudes the comforts of home, while retaining the Anchor Cheddar original look.
The design features a heart shape in the central part of the package, which immediately invites consumers to see this as a friendly brand. Bright colors were also used in order to convey the quality of the food inside (instead of dull hues which could signal over-aging of the product). The anchor crest also received a few updates, with Elmwood featuring cheese and crackers to reference what the product can be used for if customers decide to throw a party or eat a few appetizers.
