Animated Amnesty International "Signatures"
The "Signatures" animated PSA for Amnesty International has just won the Grand Prix at the International Advertising Association (IAA)'s first Socially Responsible Communications Awards 2008.
The 140 seconds ad which was created by TBWA ad agency, Paris with the message, "Your signature is more powerful than you think." has won numerous awards including a Cannes gold Lion.
The PSA shows various human rights abuses that are stopped with signatures. A prisoner gets freed using the signature as a door to open his cell, an asian man uses a signature as a shield from execution bullets, a woman cornered by three men invading her home uses a signature as a whip to escape, a war child uses the signature as a ballon to escape from the war zone.
The competition had more than 500 entries in three categories: the environment, social and personal issues, and corporate social responsibility.
